But I received that horrific, coppery brown color that looked like melted chocolate. It was not flattering on pale skin at all. This would have been a great product, otherwise!

Absolutely loved this lipgloss. Didn't get to use it long because my mom stole it! She uses it daily and she is not even a makeup wearer.

This lip product was my introduction and the beginning of my obsession of everything Ellis! I loved the color, texture, feel of this lip pen that I went a little crazy and bought the holder and all that goes in it to make your face complete. Yes pricy, but I have seen the prices for other high end brands-- she is not far off from them. Her colors are unique, long lasting, fun and naturally occurring -- in nature. Quite an amazing brand. With a different color, this product has the potential to be a wonderful long lasting plump looking lip product that I would use daily.

I was impressed with such a lovely luxury brand in my first Glossybox! My only real complaint is that it takes FOREVER. AND EVER. AND THEN SOME MORE. to get the lip color to actually come out. I turned the clicker for minutes and minutes and got nothing! I ended up requesting a new one because I thought I had a dud. Then I tried it a few more times and finally got some gloss to come out! Yikes. The replacement I received was the same (maybe slightly fewer clicks to get the gloss to come out). Also not crazy about the colors I received, but I also understand these are just samples. BUT, maybe Glossybox could send lighter shades to subscribers with lighter skin tones? I agree with Amanda's rating above, that the colors are just too dark! Overall, though, I would probably give this brand another try. :)

I got the shad in L102 and it's the most amazing deep berry color, perfect for fall! It does take a couple of clicks to get to the product but keep at it lol! It goes on creamy, no tugging and no settling in fine lines or dry patches. The staying power is comparable to a stain but I experienced NO dryness at all, which is very typical with most stains on me. The packaging is different but very slim and easy to store. Can't wait to check out her other products now!

I have been dying to try Ellis Faas Lips products since the items came to a luxury brand retail website a few months ago. I love the sleek silver case, first and foremost. I also really like the fact that there is a clear window at the bottom to easily see which shade I am picking up out of my lip color selection. \r\nThe gloss I got came with a brush and went on without being sticky or runny. The consistency was great. I have a feeling this is a long lasting gloss because I got some on my hand and had to rub and rub to get it off.\r\n\r\nHowever-- it must be said. I think the dark brown shades need to GO. I now have 2 Ellis Faas brown lip gloss shades and the only use I can think for them is to use them over red lipstick which is way too bright to tone the color down. I can't think of any ethnic group which would look stunning in dark brown lip gloss. I wish I could have gotten a shade more in line with my fair skin in both boxes.. but I didn't. \r\n\r\nMy 3 star review is because the company MAKES their gloss in a few unflattering shades, not because of any problem with the gloss or package itself. If my gloss had been a wearable shade, I would have loved it supremely!! :)
