Disappointing: Not customized
1So... there were only 10 products that went out to customers, total? \r\nNo wonder I feel so let down! This was not at all customized to my preferences!\r\n\r\nI received an incredibly dark and unattractive SPA RITUAL NAIL LACQUER which I would never wear, as that brand's formula is terrible, it NEVER dries, and scratches off easily, even after dried and a top coat applied.\r\n\r\nThe BENEFIT THEY\xe2\x80\x99RE REAL! MASCARA is a joke - that wand is terrible! Uselessly spiky and without enough bristles to evenly coat, it leaves a garden of clumps.\r\n\r\nPhysical exfoliant for the face?! Please! We are so far beyond this in 2015 - those tiny little grits in the YOUTHCLEANSE DAILY CLEARING CLEANSER are fit only for feet and body!\r\n\r\nOROGOLD 24K MULTI-VITAMIN DAY MOISTURIZER: Puh-lease. Gold in a moisturizer does one thing only: makes an excuse to make it more expensive. \r\n\r\nKAJAL PEN IN SOOTY BLACK: This is very matte. The smudging action just smudges the pigment away entirely, so I do not actually see the point of the smudge end. I am interested to see how this wears, but as it wiped off really easily, my first impression is not a good one.\r\n\r\nI will give Glossybox one more try and see if it redeems itself, as I was excited about it from looking at past months' boxes. This August box was a Zero.

4I recently turned thirty and have noticed several changes in my skin within the last couple of years. After several months of spending between $50 and $100 purchasing full sized products in attempt to find what works best at this point in my life, I decided it give Glossybox a try. August was my first box, and overall I am incredibly happy with my decision. I adore the Orogold moisturizer and the They're Real mascara. I had been considering trying the mascara for months but couldn't bring myself to buy yet another full sized product and risk it ending up in the not worth it pile I had already accumulated. Again, I can't overstate how glad I am that I found a cost effective way to try upscale, quality brands I would normally purchase... Simply from what I saved on not purchasing five full sized products allows me to spurge on the one or two products that worked exceptionally well for me (I'm looking at you Orogold moisturizer!). \r\n\r\nThat said, there are two big things I wish I could change:\r\n1: I received nail polish (in an admittedly gorgeous fall shade) that I can never wear due to my profession.\r\n2: When I look through the past boxes, several contained hair products. I wear my hair in a buzz cut... \r\nI wish that there were an option when filling out the beauty profile to opt out completely from receiving nail and/or hair products. \r\n\r\nOverall, I feel like my research on beauty subscriptions paid off and I will definitely be recommending Glossybox to my friends.

4This is my third box I've received, and it's definitely better than the last one I got. I really liked all of the products. I didn't so much care for the nail polish, as the one I got has a light pink color and it's just not a color I'd ever wear. The Glamglow facial cleanser is spectacular, and I really like the Manna lash primer as well! I could've done without another lip balm, but the one I got does have a delicious cupcake taste. I could've also done without a black eyeliner... I've got an abundance of those at this point. \r\nOverall I'd say it was a decent box, but there wasn't really anything that I was super excited for (except maybe the GlamGlow product).\r\nI think I'll give Glossybox one more month and see if it improves or not. \r\nLooking at all the reviews and boxes from March or earlier, they looked amazing compared to the boxed currently going out.
