Looking back, beauty has come a long way in strengthening women’s empowerment over the years. Which is why our March GLOSSYBOX is focused on Modern Beauty, with a showcase of female founded brands to celebrate women’s strides in history and in beauty.
What’s in our Modern Beauty Box?
A Hair Mask Fit For a Queen: Don’t Despair, Repair!
One sneak peek of our March beauty box is female-founded brand Briogeo’s Don’t Despair, Repair leave-in mask, brought to you by Nancy Twine. Briogeo is extremely ingredient conscious when making their hair products to be inclusive of all hair types and needs. And that includes their leave-in hair repair mask filled with algae extract, shea butter, and coconut oil that strengthens and conditions your shining crown.
Be Radiant with TONE UP PRIMER from Yensa
Our second brand is also female-founded and packed with superfood-powered ingredients, Yensa, with their TONE UP PRIMER that smooths fine lines and wrinkles while giving the face an overall radiant glow.
A lovely sheen and pore-minimizing capabilities, it also color corrects for an even skin tone!
Rescue or Defend Your Skin With Our Cleansers from Nuria
Acne prone skin can be brought to it’s natural glory with one of the two cleansers from female-founded skincare brand Nuria, who’s philosophy is natural ingredients and skincare wisdom for women across the world.
The Rescue Rebalancing Cleanser is boosted with an infusion of Seaweed Extract, Loquat Extract, and Rosehip Oil to calm troubled skin to reveal it’s natural glow.
And the Defend Purifying Cleanser creates a fun layer of impurity-lifting bubbles filled with Moringa Seed and Vitamin C to remove surface impurities and moisturize the skin without over drying.
What’s In Store This Month
During Women’s History Month, we at GLOSSYBOX will be celebrating, acknowledging, and featuring women in the beauty industry throughout our blogs and social media channels. We also will have some fun facts for you about the very month we’re raving for!
Fun Facts About Women’s History Month
- This year marks the 31st anniversary of the official recognition of March as Women’s History Month in the United States, which started in 1987.
- Also, this is the 100th year anniversary since the 19th Amendment,Women’s Right to Vote, was passed.
- March was chosen as the month to celebrate women’s history because the first observances of Women’s History Week revolved around International Women’s Day, which is March 8th.
- Recently, each year Women’s History Month has a theme of it’s own (awesome!). This year’s theme is “Visionary Women: Champions of Peace & Nonviolence”.
