The Vegan & Cruelty Free Brand We Love: Maria Nila

This month was all about the brands and products we love. You know, because it’s our birthday!

But one brand was a new fave, and we think you GLOSSIES would love to hear more about them! Here’s the scoop on one of our now-available-in-the-U.S. favorite hair care brands, Maria Nila

Found in Sweden, New in the U.S.

Founded in the south of Sweden in 1999, couple Ann and Ulf Wikström wanted to bring Swedish-produced professional and clean haircare products to the market. The drive for clean beauty products has taken the world by storm presently, but they were ahead of the curve way before clean beauty was trending.

Can we say trendsetter? We think so!

100% Vegan, Climate & Sustainable Friendly

That’s right, you read that correctly. Maria Nila is 100% vegan. They are also cruelty-free due to their love for animals, as they believe animals should not be part of hair care products or testing.

Maria Nila’s chemists develop their products with carefully chosen ingredients that make a difference for clients, salons, animals and the environment. They even have their own product development, production, filling and warehouse inside their factory in Helsingborg, Sweden, and from there the brand is shipped all over the world.

Where the product is being made is important, because even if the brand wants to be cruelty-free, if the manufacturer does product testing on animals, then the cause the brand is trying to enforce is void.

“We provide the world with friendly, sustainable beauty
in a professional, conscious and playful way”

Why We Love the True Soft Masque

This super-gentle treatment for dry hair isn’t just a conditioner that can moisturize from root to tip. This miracle in a jar will leave your hair soft and bouncy for days! Plus, with its argan oil infused formula, you have minimal frizz and can detangle your locks easily.

Did we also mention it smells amazing? Because it does!

Beyond the Product

Now that clean beauty has been given a spotlight, we’re excited to also mention Maria Nila’s involvement with climate compensated projects.

From planting trees in reforestation projects around the world to supporting awareness about how beauty is made, Maria Nila continues to stay ahead of the game and encourage ethical beauty choices.
