Founded in the south of Sweden in 1999, couple Ann and Ulf Wikström wanted to bring Swedish-produced professional and clean haircare products to the market. The drive for clean beauty products has taken the world by storm presently, but they were ahead of the curve way before clean beauty was trending.

That’s right, you read that correctly. Maria Nila is 100% vegan. They are also cruelty-free due to their love for animals, as they believe animals should not be part of hair care products or testing.
Maria Nila’s chemists develop their products with carefully chosen ingredients that make a difference for clients, salons, animals and the environment. They even have their own product development, production, filling and warehouse inside their factory in Helsingborg, Sweden, and from there the brand is shipped all over the world.
Where the product is being made is important, because even if the brand wants to be cruelty-free, if the manufacturer does product testing on animals, then the cause the brand is trying to enforce is void.
