Good for bold, deep color...
3I own a lot of eyeliners, although I rarely wear it. This eyeliner is one that I'm familiar with and have used in the past. It delivers very deep, rich color which is perfect for bold or dramatic eyes. It stays put well, which is both a good thing and a bad thing. If you have a shaky hand or make a mistake while applying it, expect to have to scrub it and all your other eye make-up off altogether and start again. I suffer from shaky-hand syndrome when applying eye make-up and look better in more subtle shades, therefore I prefer a very fine tip applicator and a less dramatic color. This eyeliner is more like a marker and as a graphic designer who actually uses markers in my everyday, adult life, I would compare the tip to more the size of the old Crayola markers I used as a kid. I would prefer it be shaped more like the extra, fine tip that you'd find on an artist's marker. However, that's just personal preference based on my eye shape and application method. If you are a whiz at applying eyeliner and are looking for something that will deliver long-lasting, bold, deep black eyeliner \xe2\x80\x93 then this is absolutely the product I would recommend. If you prefer a thinner line and more subtle tone \xe2\x80\x93 this product is not ideal for you. I did use this product on a photoshoot where the model had just removed expensive, individually-placed eyelash extensions and in the process, lost some of her natural lash and fullness. After applying a thick coat of lengthening and volumizing mascara, I grabbed this eyeliner and dabbed it at the very edge of her lash line, at the base of her natural lashes to kind of fill-in a few areas where she lost her natural lash and I could see a bit of her skin showing through. It took care of the problem and gave the illusion that she had perfect, to-die-for, full eyelashes. It was a great little trick that made a huge difference and the shoot turned out beautifully. For that reason, I keep this eyeliner around, but as I said I don't use this for everyday, eyelining purposes.

LOVED IT
5I honestly am very skeptical of liquid liners/marker type liners but I absolutly love the product! I have had such troubble with this type of product in the past and with this onyx eye pen it was so easy and looked great all day! I was suprised by the long wear of the product as well as the quality. definitly will re purchase!

Awesome
4I have terrible eyesight so doing my eyeliner is ridiculously hard for me. This fat marker made it so easy. I did have to go over it with some liquid or gel liner to make it a bit bolder and more dark, but I love this for drawing the main outline on my lid.

Not Bad
3The barrel is a little bulky and somewhat hard to manipulate and the tip is too broad for my taste but it does deliver a jet black line which doesn't budge. Sort of tired of all of the black eyeliners, though.

3I do like that this won't smudge. However, it can be difficult to apply because it doesn't seem to flow out very easily.

Great product
4Application is tricky even though the formulation is amazing, no budging! The tip makes it hard to angle the liner correctly and unless you hold it upright, which isn't real natural when putting eyeliner on, the product doesn't flow into the tip very well. But it's staying power is amazing!

PERFECT
4I used this for the first time today and I love it. It stayed put all day and I even went to dance class and sweated my ass off outside (I live in Texas). I think the tip makes it really easy to get super close to the lash line in terms of precision. I'm not so sure how helpful that is for a cat eye but for a liner that's definitely a plus. I love that it feels exactly like a marker. And it even dries so quickly that you don't have to worry about smudging or getting it on anything.

What a mess
1I always swatch new products to make sure I'm not allergic. I swatched this product three times on my hand and let it sit for several minutes, no reaction but it smudged all over the place. It's already in the garbage.

Not easy to use
2It's hard to use because of the tip, but the product is very good. It doesn't smear easily and it is a good color, consistency, etc. The problem is the tip makes it hard as anything to get a good cat eye on both eyes.
