I thought mascara primers would be really gimmicky but I was pleasantly surprised. It really did make a difference in how my mascara looked but the biggest effect was on longevity. Even mascaras that usually flaked pretty quick did really well over this and lasted all day. Worth it for that in my opinion. I didn't notice any difference in my lash length/quality, however, so I won't vouch for it as a conditioner.
