Not my thing

I love Elemis, but this cleansing balm just isn't for me. I thought it did a great job removing makeup, but then I definitely needed to wash my face again as I didn't think the cleansing part worked all that well. I'm sure folks with drier skin might love this, but I feel if I used it often, I'd be broken out all the time- and I am well past the age of acne.

I always use a cleansing balm or oil first when I begin my skincare routine at night as it helps get the stubborn grime and makeup off from the day and allows my skin to prepare for all the other products I plan on using that night. I have loved every Elemis product I've ever tried, so I knew I'd love this. It's a lightweight, almost creamy balm and doesn't come as a solid, but rather reminds me like a thick cream. A little bit goes a long way with this, so even this travel-size will last me awhile. I love the smell of this, it smells so clean and herbal. My skin feels amazing after using this, and doesn't feel greasy or oily, like some other balms and oils I've used from other brands in the past. This was my main reason to re-subscribe to Glossybox and I'm so happy I did. This is an amazing product and love that I got a chance to try this!!

My only real sadness with this product is the price tag to buy full size. I really loved the ease it took make up off while leaving my face feeling clean and smooth. I wanted to add this to my routine daily but once i saw the full size price i just couldn't. Its worth every penny i just dont have right now. if its in your budget, i highly recommend!
