I had never tried anything like this product, but I gave it a try recently when my scalp was itchy. Very easy to apply with the pointed squeeze top, it immediately soothed the itching and I enjoy the scent. It gave my scalp a really good cleanse, but also provided some lift at my roots when dry. My hair stayed clean for several days longer than usual and the itchy scalp is much improved.
