When I first received this in my box I was so excited to try it i really loved the lighter shade and thought i would fall in love with it.... boy was i wrong. it was flaky and didn't even show i was so disappointed, and socked at how awful a product it was.

This shadow duo was just okay. \r\n\r\nThe colors are pretty ordinary ones that I have in several other pallettes, and they're a bit more shimmery than I typically like. \r\n\r\nI do like the inclusion of the mirror in the compact.

Lots of Sparkle

I received the ModelCo eye shadow duo in my August box. At first look, I absolutely love the colors. Because I had yet to apply my makeup for the day I went ahead and did a test on one eye to check the pigmentation out and I must say-wow! The brown is very pigmented and the goldish color is more sheer. What I wasn't expecting was the amount of sparkle this stuff has due to the mica. I could tell it was going to have some shimmer but this flies by shimmer and sails straight into I dumped a tube of glitter on my eyes. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy glitter every once in awhile and this stuff will be used but only as an out with the girls product. There's simply way too much sparkle for daytime use. The shadow went on smoothly with just my finger and didn't seem to flake or have a lot of fall out, which I like since I don't exactly have brushes that hold shadow very well. Overall, I'd say I like this product but because of the excess of mica I simply cannot rate it 5/5.

At first look I really liked the colors, golds and browns are colors I use often for eyeshadows. The brown was okay, but the gold is basically useless. It goes on kind of flaky and barely shows at all. For the product cost, I expected much better quality and didn't get it.

Such soft texture, almost too soft. The ivory shade's color payoff is half as good as the chocolate shade. I love the iridescent ivory shade though, I just wish it stayed better! They go lovely together though. I suggest using a synthetic brush when applying and I would definitely blend, layer, repeat.

This product was okay. I'm not a fan of the foam applicator that came with the shadow, or the consistency of the gold shadow. I felt I was not able to blend the shadows very well, especially not the gold color. Pretty colors though!
