It takes some getting used to
5At first glance I thought this was a waste, then after trying on first application it comes out black or almost black.. on the lips, then slowly the color becomes a dark red and as times goes by the red becomes a stronger vivid hue of bright fuschia.. so it is an interesting product and right now I am loving it but it took me some getting used to..

5This stuff is incredible. I've long sought after a super dark, wine-red shade that stayed put and didn't wash out, but rather complemented, my fair complexion. This color is so beautifully intense and perfectly matte; it is simply stunning! The consistency of the tar is great too, it really stays put! Perfect for a special occasion or night out, it is unlike any other lip color I have tried. Love the little lip brush that comes with this as well, makes application a breeze. A word to the wise: a little bit goes a LONG way; this tube is going to last me forever.

1didn't like the concept, I feel it's annoying to have to squeeze out just the right amount onto the brush to apply; sometimes it's way too much and trying to apply it neatly was near impossible. I think it gave a very stark/bold look which is not something I go for. The color was way too dark. I thought it looked streaky in some spots.

5I love this lip tar! I actually have been toying with buying this product for awhile and I'm glad I held out. But now I can't wait to buy more. This is a perfect fall color for a nice vampy look and it lasts for quite awhile.

3I would have loved the pink color instead because im so pale! This color washed me out so i might use it for a vampire look on Halloween but thats about it..

5This is absolutely the best thing going. I love the color and how easy it is to apply. Looks great alone, underneath lip color or lip gloss, and it lasts a long time!

Waited too long to try this!
5I can't believe I've waited all this time to try OCC's Lip Tar. The proof of how much I loved this was that I promptly went out and bought a set on Sephora after trying this out today. First off, the color is beautiful. Second, it lasted all day. I met a client for lunch, and then when I had an event in the evening, I went to reapply and was shocked to see it still looked gorgeous. I posted a picture of me wearing this on Facebook and it looked so great, a friend of mine even bought some. Such is lip tar's power!
