Great moisturizing lip balm but not sure it’s worth the price

The Purlisse Watermelon Lip Balm is in no way subtle. From the moment you apply you know it’s a watermelon product, which for me wasn’t an issue, but I could see it being a little to much for others. It does a great job of moisturizing lips, but I’m not sure it does that much better than another natural product like Bert’s Bees at moisturizing my lips. At such a high price point I think I was expecting a little bit more, even though it did a good job moisturizing and I didn’t really have any complaints. I guess my disappointment has more to do with loving some other Purlisse products so brand and price hype than there being anything wrong with the balm itself.

Whoa, this smells more watermelon-y than an actual watermelon. I was worried this might cause some irritation since my skin is very sensitive, but this was actually very refreshing and hydrating. The only concern on my end is that it's very lightweight and probably not very hydrating for those with extremely dry skin.

This is not the first time I have tried this and  I do like it. I did not have any issues with it and I have sensitive, fair skin. It does have a smell, but not overwhelming. I would recommend giving it a try, but if you also have sensitive skin test before full application (always better safe than sorry).

I've received this before and I had the same reaction to it this time...great product, but I can't tolerate the scent. Although, that's a typical problem for me with ANY product because I'm very sensitive to smells and many of them give me migraines. That said, I like this company and their products seem well formulated and effective based on several products I've tested. It's just the scents most of them have that prevent me from using them.
