loved the texture
4I really loved the texture and feel of this lipstick. Easy to apply and feels great going on. I would love to purchase it and that is why I gave it a 4. HOWEVER, the downside is the color. Red has to have just the right undertones for each individual skin color to pull I it off. This one has an orange undertone to it and I looked like a clown. In reading some of the other reviews, I see that others had problems with the orange also. If Tarte wanted to increase sales of this product by providing samples, they messed up big time on the color.

I'm conflicted
3I can tell this is a high quality product but this color was really appalling on me. I loved the smoothness and richness of the application but the color was really wrong on my skin tone. I think I would be willing to try this product and a more me friendly tone.

5I have never liked a red lipstick. I have heard of tarte and have always wanted to try it. when I opened my box I was excited. I saw the word fierce and I knew it was red. When I opened the lipstick I thought it was bright until I tried it on and BABY!!!!! It was FIERCE!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!! THIS IS MY NEW SEXY! THANK YOU TARTE AND GLOSSYBOX AND I WILL BUY MORE OF TARTE PRODUCTS.....

Eeek Orange!
2So this color is obviously not for everyone! I WANTED to love this because the packaging is flawless, and who doesn't want a bright colored lipstick?! And actually a friend of mine looks kind of good in the shade - however, I look like a child playing with my mother's make up. Ridiculous. Clown-faced. Silly. I wish it had come in a shade closer to red/pink family. I would have loved this product, but instead its my new lipstick reminder marker for the bathroom mirror.

Great product!
4I received the lipstick in Fierce. I love the color. The application is smooth, the color is very pigmented and the lasting-power of the lipstick is phenomenal. My only disappointment is the undertone of the shade which didn't really compliment my medium to light yellow skin. This color makes my teeth look more yellow than usual. Fortunately I manage to make the color more wearable by adding bronzer to make my skin making my skin tone a bit warmer. This also help diminish the yellowing effect on my teeth. I would definitely repurchase, but in a different color.

5This lipstick was so nice. Very pigmented and I loved the shade. Mine came in the shade Fierce. It was a lovely orange and I can't wait to wear it all spring and summer!

It's different!!
3It is a very bright color and I would never wear this on a regular basis, however when going out to a party it may work. I am tan in complexion so I think red typically looks good on my skin but it does take time to get used to the brightness of this lipstick.
