Why musk? Why??
2Of all the perfume samples I've received in beauty boxes this year, this came the closest to being something I would like. So close! And it's an amazingly generous size, too, and in such a cute little bottle. But then they came at me with musk. So many light and bright notes in this scent, and they drag 'em down with heavy musk. To me, musk smells like little old lady, like support hose and scratchy cardigans and Father Dowling mysteries. My husband hugged me and immediately asked why I smelled like a granny.*sigh* Fortunately my sister loves little old lady perfume, so I gave this to her. She was thrilled! So if you like musk, this is right up your alley. If you prefer light or fresh scents, this is a pass.

1I didn't read the product write-up or the one review before mine so that I could give you my unbiased opinion of this scent. I know I'm usually the odd man out with my reviews; however, I just did not like this scent at all. The one positive was the tiny bottle it came in. Its cap reminded me of a regal crown. I dabbed some of this perfume on both my wrists and behind each ear. Oh my! I thought this fragrance was horrible. It certainly reminded me of a low-end, sickeningly-sweet, candy-like fragrance that we, as children, used to get in those toy perfumes we used to play with. Not only was that sweet fragrance too much to handle, but thank God it only lasted for 2 hours. Yes, hints were there still after 2 hours and I had to finally wash it off. Had I loved this fragrance, I would be complaining it had no staying power! No, this scent is definitely not for me and I don't mean to offend anyone; however, I would not recommend this fragrance even to a playful little girl.

4I'll admit it: it really was the perfect scent for the change of seasons, and I loved the fragrance, even if the sample was so teeny tiny! (Still bigger than other two-spritzes-and-done perfume samples, though!) I had to knock off a heart, though, because it wore off a lot faster than my other perfumes. But you know what they say about the brightest candles...
