I’ve never heard of VDL Lumilayer primer fresh, my first time using this product and, my thoughts are this is a nice product it went on smoothly but, I have combination skin tone so this product wasn’t for me. I would definitely recommend it for someone that doesn’t have oily prone skin, as a primer.

I love the Smashbox radiance primer and thought this would be similar. It is not in my opinion. I have very oily skin and typically reach for something that is matte and pore filling. This was neither. It definitely gives your skin a glow, so if dewy skin is what you are after it may be perfect for you. However, if you have oily skin it may not suit. I also hate the bottle. I don't know how to get the product out. It's like a nail polish bottle without the brush. I have to dip the end of a tiny makeup brush in it to get the product out. I typically apply primer with my hands. Perhaps if i was someone who used a brush or a beauty blender for this step it would not bother me.

I was happy to receive this product. Besides the fact the packaging make it difficult to get the product out, it's pretty and a good product. I like the luminosity and it gets just a big tacky which is good for getting product to stick and stay. Applying it is nice, easy to smooth around, don't have to use too much product and feels moisturizing.

Creates a beautiful, luminous effect, that highly sought after glow from within. I received this today after applying my daily regime but really wanted to try this so put a bit on over the rest and wow! I can't stop staring at myself. Likely will never apply this as a base since it finishes so nicely.
