That's right! It's Mean Girls Day!

Ok, so what's the situation with Mean Girls and October 3rd? We're glad you asked! October 3rd was the momentous day that  Cady Heron saw her crush in the cult classic film directed and written by Tina Fey.  Ever  since the deliciously movie hit theaters in 2004, fans have paid homage to "Mean Girls" on October 3 every year.

At GLOSSY, we honor all things pink and we love this movie and the messages it had for girlhood and coming of age. So here's our favorite quotes from Mean Girls.

On Wednesdays, We Wear Pink

As the PINK beauty box in the circle, we love this quote with all our heart. Sure, we dabble in our custom designs, colors, and limited edition boxes. But GLOSSYBOX will choose and wear pink as our staple and are so happy Karen would definitely be a GLOSSIE. At least on Wednesdays.

Gretchen Trying To Make Fetch Happen

Gretchen tried, SO HARD, to make this a catchphrase.  To be fair, this is the line before one of the more iconic shut downs given in history by Queen Bee Regina. But we think it deserves a place in our hearts because one: we support women trying to make something more of a moment. And two, we support encouraging phrases!

Get In Loser, We're Going Shopping

Pretty much us whenever it's pay day after hours. After talking about beauty and skincare, we love to pair the look with a fetch outfit. Plus, this was one of the phrases that get's re-purposed in other fandoms and media.

She Doesn't Even Go Here!

Ever had someone try to provide input to a conversation they really, really shouldn't be a part of?  Looking at you, mansplainers.

We're a lot nicer than Damien in this scene, but at the same time, what was this girl (or woman? Is she even a student at ANY school) doing in the auditorium? Thus the perfect comeback was born for the 'um, actually' narrative from a source that really, doesn't even go here!

Did you know that in our office we actually give eachother snaps? It's a way we acknowledge the work our team members have done and share it during our morning meetings. Another iconic scene from the movie, we stan positive affirmations.

And Finally...The Limit Does Not Exist

At GLOSSYBOX, we always try to improve ourselves by going above and beyond what we've done before. While we understand that, as a beauty box, that seems like a bold claim, we like to believe we had no limits to what we can bring to GLOSSIES each month or even next year by thinking in, and most importantly, outside the box.
