Eating healthy doesn’t have to be boring and you don’t need to eat the same salad every day in order to reach your goals. The question is, what DO you need to do? To make sure she sticks to a healthy lifestyle and doesn't order Seamless everyday for lunch, our Head of Marketing Jennifer, has spilled the beans on the simple ways to stay on track.

Himalayan Salt

Said to be the purest salt on earth, this type of salt was buried under lava and glaciers in crystallized sea salt beds. Because of this, it has been unaffected by chemicals, pollutants, and all around yucky stuff. Thanks to its innate trace minerals Some of the benefits you can expect from this condiment are improved circulation, lowered blood pressure, and strengthened muscles.

Protein is key! Protein is an integral building block of bones, cartilage, muscle, skin and blood. Foods such as eggs can be quickly boiled the night before for an awesome snack or as part of your breakfast. Another way to make sure you stay on track is to keep protein bars in your bag. That way, when you're super starving you're not tempted to reach for the cupcakes in the break room.

Check What’s in Season

Do you eat according to what’s in season? Well if you're not, you should be. Local fruits and vegetables are better for you and for the environment. If you're too busy to make it to the grocery store on a weekly basis, ordering food online is your next best option. Jennifer utilizes the interwebs by ordering from Fresh Direct and Amazon so there's no room for excuses.

Snack on This

Adding a quick tablespoon of protein like peanut butter to your snacks can easily cure a sweet tooth craving. Another good option is fruit such as grapes or cherries. If it's time to give into your cravings, Jennifer notes that if she feels like having ice cream she goes for it! To help with portion control, she puts a scoop into a sugar cone rather than into a bowl. It's all about willpower, people!
