Workouts and kale chips and green juice.. oh my! It’s no secret that the wellness movement is trending. Pretty pre-bottled health drinks from companies like Dirty Lemon, workout video clips from our favorite influencers, and Instagrammable ingestibles, like Ritual’s trending multivitamin for women are going viral, and for good reason; we all want to look and feel our best. It goes without saying that what we put in our bodies has a big effect on overall health and well being, not to mention our skin’s health. To bring you the best of all of it, this month, GLOSSYBOX has partnered with the fitness-minded team at CYBEROBICS to provide our Glossies with a 6-week program, complete with fitness tips, delicious-yet-healthy recipes and other hacks for getting your mind, body, and soul in their best shape yet. Read below for some of the highlights. Trust us, these are good.

Drinking Up
Consuming your vitamins via juice is one of the quickest ways to absorb them in into your body, and convert them to fuel to face your day. For an easy morning breakfast juice, David Kirsch, one of CYBEROBICS’s top trainers, recommends you combine 2 or 3 tangerines with one ruby red grapefruit and a handful of frozen strawberries and mix in a blender. Sweet but refreshing, this is a great go-to for any woman without too much time. If you’re looking for a bit more of a protein boost - simply blend together one banana, a handful of fresh or frozen berries, 1½  tablespoons of unsweetened peanut butter, a scoop of protein powder, and ¾ cup of water: perfect for those days you don’t have time to sit down and have a proper lunch!
Working Out

According to CYBEROBICS research, the average person sits for 8 hours a day. That’s a lot of stagnation for anyone looking to stay healthy! To keep your blood flowing, you should get up every hour and stretch, or take a short walk around the block if you can manage it. Anja Garcia from CYBEROBICS also recommends that you workout 3 to 4 times a week, focusing on a mix of cardio and weight training to rev up your metabolism. Also, bring a buddy for that extra bit of motivation! Another helpful tip? Don’t say: “I just want to lose weight.” or “I need to work out more.” Do say: “My goal is to lose ‘X’ amount of pounds, in ‘X’ amount of time” or “I want to work out at least 3 times a week this year.’” Remember, long-term goals are fantastic to have, but by setting and achieving short-term goals, you’ll feel more motivated to keep going.

Track Progress
According to CYBEROBICS, it’s just as important to track your progress via photos and other methods as it is to meet your goals. To ensure your pictures are as accurate as possible, wear the same outfit for a photo opp every week or every two weeks. Also be sure to measure your waist, arms, and legs, keeping track of any changes in a journal. Another fun way to keep tabs on your progress is to use a board game or some other physical object to demonstrate your progress, by moving a piece forward on the board. If you’re going with Monopoly, you’ll certainly feel progress by the time you get to Park Place! “Whether you measure, take pictures, or use a game board, tracking your results will keep you going,” said the CYBEROBICS workout buffs.
Healthy Recipes

It may seem that when you are on a health kick, you can’t indulge in anything delicious, but not so say the experts at CYBEROBICS. Below are two simple, yet delicious recipes that will make you feel like you’re on cheat day, without the guilt. Also, don’t forget to plan your food ahead of time so you aren’t left to pick between unhealthy food choices!

Deliciously Light Pancakes Perfect for a lazy weekend morning, but also easy enough to make every morning, these pancakes are indeed scrumptious but safe. To begin, you will need  2 bananas, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1/2 tsp. of baking powder, a pinch of salt, and some fresh fruit of your choice. Blend the bananas, eggs, oats, baking powder and salt until you get a nice and smooth consistency. Then, let the batter sit for 10 to 20 minutes until it becomes slightly thick. Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and fry spoonfuls of the batter until they are golden brown. Serve with fresh fruit of your choice and enjoy! Tasty Kale ChipsNeed a snack without feeling guilty? Make your own kale chips! You will need 1 bunch of kale, 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of seasoned sea salt. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Line a non-insulated cookie sheet with parchment paper. Remove the leaves of kale from the thicker stems and tear the kale into bite-size pieces.Wash and dry the kale, then spread them on the baking sheet and drizzle the olive oil on top. Sprinkle the kale with salt and put them in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
Rest and Relax
It’s all about balance. Relaxation is certainly part of a balanced lifestyle, can help improve your overall health and ultimately, appearance and state of mind. According to Andrea Speir, from the CYBEROBICS team, it’s important to reward yourself for reaching goals, celebrating with a night out with friends, practicing meditation or booking a soothing massage. “Take some time for yourself. Do whatever you like to relax and unwind,” say the CYBEROBICS experts. “There are plenty of routines you can do to ease your mind and body on CYBEROBICS such as, ‘Stretch & Relax’ and ‘Just Relax.’ Make sure to try them out!”
